Watch a chimney sweep, start to finish

This is the visit, the way it actually runs: the smoky fireplace, the climb to the roof, the camera in the flue, and the sweep itself.

They put a camera up the flue first and showed me the creosote on the screen. After the sweep they ran it again — night and day. No mess in the house at all.

Our crown was cracked and the cap was rusted through. One crew rebuilt the crown and fitted a stainless cap the same week. Looks brand new from the street.

Called in the morning about a smoky fireplace, swept the same afternoon. The draw is back and the living room doesn't smell like a campfire anymore.

Water stain on the ceiling next to the chimney for two years. They found the flashing gap in twenty minutes, sealed and re-flashed it. Dry ever since.

Honest inspection. They showed me two cracked liner tiles on camera, explained my options, and relined the chimney two days later. Photos of everything.

Birds had nested in our uncapped flue. They cleared the nest, swept the chimney, and fitted a proper cap with a screen the same visit.

Third sweep company we've tried and the first to actually show us the flue on camera. Thorough, tidy, and the fireplace draws better than it has in years.

Mortar was crumbling out of the joints on our 40-year-old chimney. They tuckpointed the whole stack and it honestly looks new. Fair, careful work.

Asked the way our clients ask

These are the real questions people type into search and AI assistants every day — answered plainly.

Smoke is rolling back into the room — what's wrong?+

Smoke comes back when the flue can't draw: usually creosote choking the flue, a damper stuck half-shut, a blockage like a nest, or a cold flue on a still day. A camera inspection shows exactly which one it is — and most of them are fixed in the same visit, with a sweep.

How often should a chimney be swept?+

Once a year, before the season you burn most — and sooner if you burn often. Creosote builds up with every fire, and the glazed kind is a chimney-fire risk no amount of careful burning prevents. Our yearly visit is a sweep and a camera inspection in one appointment.

There's a bird in my chimney. Can you get it out?+

Yes — keep the damper closed and don't light a fire. We remove animals safely and humanely, clear any nest out of the flue, sweep it clean, and fit a proper cap with a screen so nothing gets back in.

Why does my fireplace smell, even when it's off?+

Creosote and soot absorb moisture and smell strongest in warm, humid weather — that campfire smell is the flue asking to be cleaned. A proper sweep and deep clean removes the source instead of masking it, and a draft check keeps the smell from drifting back down.

What does the camera inspection actually show?+

Everything inside the flue, on a monitor you watch with the tech: creosote buildup, cracked liner tiles, gaps, blockages — and after the work, the same flue clean. It's why we never quote from a guess: you see the problem before you approve anything, and you see it fixed before we leave.

Do you give prices over the phone?+

No — and be wary of anyone who does. Every chimney hides a different problem, so a phone price is a guess that changes at your door. Our inspections are free: a tech looks at the actual chimney, on camera, then gives you one clear price before any work starts.
